The shoe that helps your foot stop catching
The Cadense Original uses a patented glide-to-grip sole that lets your foot slide over surfaces instead of catching, so you can walk without watching every step. On sale now for $199.99 with free shipping and no-questions-asked, 30-day returns.
True to size & available in Regular and Wide widths.
You've started planning your steps
It starts small. A toe that catches on a threshold you've crossed a thousand times. A hand on the railing out of habit, not need.
Or you're the one noticing it in someone else. A parent walking a little slower. A partner taking the stairs one at a time.
Either way, the worry is the same. What happens next time?
A sole that changes as you walk
The sole's low-friction zone lets your foot glide over the surface instead of catching — no matter if it's carpet, tile, or sidewalk.
The high-friction grip zone engages instantly, holding firm so you can stand, push off, and change direction with confidence.
The transition foam smooths the shift between glide and grip, so the shoe works with your stride — not against it.
People who'd stopped trusting their feet
My husband has foot drop and was tripping and falling. Since he has been wearing the new Cadense shoes he hasn't tripped once or fallen. He doesn't have to march anymore to walk, so his legs don't get tired. He can walk faster now too.
I tried a traditional AFO that didn't stop it and made me walk worse. I took a risk and ordered my first pair... that was a year ago and I have not tripped once since then. And that fear of tripping has gone away.
After having surgery I have foot drop and a very weak ankle which requires an ankle/foot brace. Cadense shoes enhance stability and balance which makes me feel secure with my unusual gait.
With the ability to slide my left foot when it begins to be difficult to lift, I am now able to add additional steps. I am 48 and determined not to be limited to a wheelchair. These shoes have changed my life.
Trusted by the professionals who treat walking difficulties
Many physical therapists, stroke rehab specialists, and neurologists point their patients to our patented walking shoe.
Dr. Gretchen Hawley, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified MS Specialist, founder of the MSing Link, put our shoes to the test.
Evaluated in NIH-funded research at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Why other shoes haven't worked
Regular sneakers grip everywhere, so a foot that doesn't lift fully catches and sticks. Orthopedic shoes add support but not glide, and they announce themselves the moment you walk into a room.

You don't need to choose between safe and stylish
Before, you had two options: wear a regular sneaker and think about every step, or wear something that looks and feels like a medical device.
With Cadense, the technology is in the sole of the shoe, meaning you can have a good-looking sneaker while still walking with confidence.
Easy as a slip-on, steady as a sneaker
The Velcro strap pulls closed with a single finger. Just put a finger through the loop and pull closed.
Stretchy and permanent. They look like laces without needing to be tied.
One price, no surprises

Before you order
Cadense fits true to size. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Every color is also available in Regular and Wide widths.
Cadense shoes are made for the surfaces you cross every day: hardwood, tile, low-pile carpet, sidewalks, pavement, gravel, and rough concrete.
They are not made for ice or snow. On grass, the glide mechanism won't engage the way it does on firmer ground, but the shoes are still fine to wear.
Because the sole works differently from a regular shoe, take a moment to shift your weight onto the shoe before you stand up, step down, change surfaces, or use the stairs. Most people find this becomes second nature within the first week.
A patented glide-to-grip sole lets your foot slide over surfaces instead of catching, then grips the moment you put weight down. We call it Variable Friction Technology.
Anyone managing foot drop, MS, Parkinson's, stroke recovery, neuropathy, cerebral palsy, or general unsteadiness on their feet — or anyone who wants extra confidence in every step.
