Innovative Solutions for Mobility: Cadense Adaptive Shoes Unveiled at the 2024 SPF Conference
Jul 18, 2024
Hello everyone,
I’m Johannes Sauer, CEO of Cadense Shoe Company. A few weeks back I travelled to Tampa, Florida to participate in the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation 2024 Annual Conference.
In this short interview, Greg Pruitt – President of the SP Foundation – and I discuss the key features of Cadense Adaptive Footwear. Watch it now:
It was wonderful to meet many of our customers in person and have great conversations with individuals who are affected by Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) and Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP).
I’m thrilled to share some exciting highlights from the conference. This event was an incredible opportunity to introduce our revolutionary adaptive shoes designed to improve mobility for those facing walking difficulties.
Our journey began at MIT, where the concept of Cadense shoes was born out of a PhD project. Today, we proudly present the world’s first truly adaptive shoe. These shoes are crafted with a unique combination of nylon and rubber components, offering both low friction and stability to ensure safety and ease of movement.
During the conference, I discussed the features and benefits of our adaptive shoes. They are designed to assist people who shuffle, drag their toes, or have muscle and neurological challenges. Our goal is to make mobility safer and more comfortable, providing a reliable solution for many.
