What surfaces can I walk on with AERIO?

AERIO uses the same Variable Friction Technology found in our Cadense Original sneaker. It’s designed to work on indoor and outdoor surfaces like low-pile carpet, hardwood, tile, pavement, and concrete. We recommend using extra caution on wet or slippery surfaces—just like you would with any slide or sandal.

Is AERIO available in wide or narrow widths?

AERIO is designed in one flexible width. The large, adjustable front velcro flap provides a customized fit for many foot shapes.

If you usually wear wide shoes, there’s a good chance AERIO will still work for you.

Can I walk long distances in AERIO?

Yes—AERIO was built for both support and comfort on the go. Whether you’re headed out for a walk or just need something easy to wear around the house or pool, AERIO is made to move with you.

How do I switch from sandal to slide?

The heel strap is fully removable. Just unfasten the side tabs and lift the strap off—it only takes seconds. When you want more support again, slide it back through the loops and reattach.

Does AERIO run true to size?

Yes, AERIO generally runs true to size. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing down for a more comfortable fit.

Amazing sandals

Life changing shoes

I’ve worn out so many standard shoes in the toe area due to an incomplete spinal cord injury over 30 years ago dragging my toes. As I age, the toe stumping and tripping was getting worse and I tried a traditional AFO that didn’t stop it and made me walk worse. I took a risk and ordered my first pair of these shoes….my life changed….that was a year ago and I have not tripped once since then. And that fear of tripping has gone away. I now have 3 pairs and one sandal….I tell everyone at the gym/PT about them. They are great. Todd Florida 64 yo.

Good for warm weather and stable outside walking

Good for hot weather and outside walking. Allows me to navigate outside in in sand and in the garden and in warm weather when sandals are my preferred shoe.

At first I had a slight adjustment to my mental image of a sandal. Now I use them way more than I thought I would. My fatigue is greatest in the evening and these have become my “go to” footwear for around the house. Without socks, with socks, they are so comfortable!

:No Falls!

One of my Parkenson's symptoms makes me prone to falling head-first when walking. Cadense shoes are specifically designed to prevent that by avoiding traction when a foot begins to move forward, so my doctor recommended this shoe. While I've fallen twice with regular walking shoes, I have not fallen since I purchased this product, and I walk about a mile per day with our dog. I don't know if my symptom is common among Parkenson's poatients, but if you have had the experience of suddeenly falling face-down with no warning in the middle of a regular walk along a straight path and have no idea how it happened, you are a candidate for the Condense shoes.
