Product Details
AFO compatibility: Our shoes might work with your AFO depending on its size. If you currently are able to fit your AFO into a shoe in a regular or Wide (D) width shoe, it should work with Cadense shoes.
Toe box: Our toe box is very generously spaced.
Weight of the shoe: About 10.8 oz per shoe – Women's size 8 was used as reference.
Heel to Toe Drop: Standard 3/8".
Shoe sole height: Our shoe sole measures about 1.5 inches throughout. The height is needed to allow the variable friction technology to work properly and it also makes for a very comfortable walking experience.

After major back surgeries, beginning in 2014, my right foot became a drop foot. Over the next 21 years, I was introduced to several orthotic devices that helped my walking but did not prevent falls. Orthotics also limited my range of motion in my right leg and ankle forcing me to lift my right leg higher than normal. My foot drop was further complicated after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. My confidence suffered even more having to use walking sticks to ensure my stability on uneven and rough surfaces. I was pretty frustrated walking and still falling. Then, I learned about CADENSE ADAPTIVE SHOES on the Internet and ordered a pair. When the shoes finally arrived, I couldn't wait to try them on and start testing them. My wife was very impressed with the shoe's appearance. I was amazed at how they went on and were very comfortable. I knew it would be daring, so I stopped wearing my orthotic altogether. I then went for a walk and found them to handle rough surfaces without stumbling. Before, I began to lower my head to watch the ground as I walked or moved around. Since wearing these shoes my posture is straighter. I also wore them in the rain and did not slip or lose traction. During my Rock Steady Boxing, the shoes allowed me to do calisthenics and boxing stances, that I could not do before while wearing an orthotic. I also found the shoes to be easier to drive a car than with my orthotic. Every day, the shoes make me more confident in my walking and moving about.
I have SPMS and deal with foot drop and tripping. These shoes are a life saver. They make walking safer, I don't trip and help with my gait. Yes, they are expensive but so worth it to be able to walk without tripping!
The shoes really help with my MS. I have really bad foot drop on my left side and it helps lift it up so I don't fall. I wish I ordered a size up but oh well. I'll wait until these give out
I love mine by I wear to work everyday. I do wish they came in grey for women's.
Love the shoe and it’s been so great to feel stronger and more empowered to walk. My one complaint is the velcro isnt sticking as well any more - not great bc I just bought the shoes.
