Why we made this shoe

We have designed the first truly adaptive shoe in the world for people with walking difficulties. Often they can't lift their foot enough to clear the ground when taking a step forward. In order to not trip they shuffle or develop a different coping mechanism.

Our Cadense Original Women's Adaptive Shoe features groundbreaking, patented variable friction technology. It allows its wearer to slide over obstacles with ease and develop a more normal gait.

But we have not stopped there. We made sure that the first truly adaptive shoe also feels like walking on clouds and looks stunning.

Product Details

AFO compatibility: Our shoes might work with your AFO depending on its size. If you currently are able to fit your AFO into a shoe in a regular or Wide (D) width shoe, it should work with Cadense shoes.

Toe box: Our toe box is very generously spaced.

Weight of the shoe: About 10.8 oz per shoe – Women's size 8 was used as reference.

Heel to Toe Drop: Standard 3/8".

Shoe sole height: Our shoe sole measures about 1.5 inches throughout. The height is needed to allow the variable friction technology to work properly and it also makes for a very comfortable walking experience.

Great shoes

These shoes have charged the way I walk. My neurologist recommended them, and I’m glad I listened. I’ve had them almost a month and haven’t fallen once. My physical therapist has noticed a huge improvement in my walking and she would recommend to anyone who has foot drop. Although they are a bit expensive they are worth it.

HELP IS HERE!!

I got fed up with falling, even on the dividers between rooms. fell and broke both sets of ribs TWICE within 6 months,SMASHED my face on uneven concrete and broke my hand trying to stop a fall. Thought these were expensive, but had great return policy. First 10 steps,I knew they worked. Have since ordered another pair. I have,in order of diagnosis, M.S., spinal stenosis, ostheoarthritis, ostheoporosis, and a wee scoliosis I s curve from back surgery. I'm still slow BUT, I am not terrified to get up and walk. THESE SHOES ARE WORTH MUCH MORE THAN THEY CHARGE BUT WOULD BE FINANCIALLY OUT OF REACH IF THEY COST MORE. AS IT IS I STRUGGLE TO PAY,BUT THEY ARE A NON- NEGOTIABLE NOW!

Transforming

These shoes are transformational! Mom has Parkinson's and had great difficulty walking. Her feet would stick and stutter, the walker would get too far ahead of her, and the amount of energy it took to walk was exhausting.

These shoes truly are a miracle. I am so glad we found them! Smooth and faster gait, less stress on her shoulders and wrists from fighting the walker, and ease of moving from sitting to stand and taking off is truly unbelievable. An amazing transformation in just 3 days!

She just ordered the sandals this morning and we will anxiously await their arrival.

A Walking Fall Hazard

Due to balance issues and a drop foot I am a fall hazard waiting hit the pavement at any time. These shoes are a godsend. I can comfortably walk from the car into the store and feel very secure. Worth every penny and looking to order the all black for winter and the sandal for summer!

Frequently asked questions

Who are the shoes for?

We have created the Cadense Original adaptive sneaker for people experiencing walking difficulties. Our shoe may help seniors with walking difficulties, individuals experiencing foot drop, stroke patients, people with multiple-sclerosis, or cerebral palsy.

How do Cadense Adaptive Shoes work?

Cadense adaptive shoes use our proprietary, patent-pending variable friction technology.

Low-friction elements on the shoe sole allow you the slide over everyday obstacles like uneven pavements. High friction rubber parts get activated when weight is placed on the shoe and allow you to stop and toe-off as needed.
